What Should a Security System Do For Me?
A security system has two major functions; one is to discourage intruders and the second is to detect intruders. A good security system will include a battery backed control panel, keypads and panic buttons.
Sensors include wired and wireless motion detectors, water and temperature sensors, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide sensor, break glass, door and window sensors.
The system should be U.L. listed and be linked to a central monitoring service for 24/7 coverage. In addition, internet access if chosen, allows you to check on your home while traveling.
